Meet Michael Williams
“Every piece begins with an idea, a piece of glass, and a commitment to craftsmanship. Michael Williams creates distinctive stained-glass artwork in Texas, combining traditional techniques with beautiful colors, textures, and designs.”
Founded on a deep respect for classical decorative arts and American artisan traditions, Michael Williams Stained Glass produces museum-quality panels, architectural inserts, and luminous sun catchers. From initial design sketch to final hand-buffed wax, every single cut is made with passion.

How Each Piece Is Born
We never use mass assembly lines, resin substitutes, or machine stamped prints.
Hand Scoring & Cutting
Sheets of artisanal mouth-blown, cathedral, and opalescent glass are scored by hand with a carbide glass cutter along custom pattern templates.
Precision Grinding
Every jagged perimeter is dressed on water-cooled diamond grinders to achieve hair-thin seams and exact alignment.
Copper Foiling
Utilizing the Tiffany technique, each segment is wrapped in adhesive copper foil tape, burnished smoothly for uniform solder flow.
Soldering & Patina
Pieces are joined with melted solder beads front and back, framed in heavy zinc came, and chemically oxidized with an antique black patina.
Commission an Original Stained Glass Piece
Michael accepts a limited number of custom architectural and heirloom commissions throughout the year.
